This plate is exquisite. One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever tried. There is valet parking, but if you're lucky, you may find street parking. The place inside has the right ambiance. The service was great, and the food was magnificent. There is a section in the middle of the restaurant where you can witness (what I would call) an artist making fresh pasta. The food came out quickly, even though they were extremely busy. Our server was impressively attentive, even while balancing multiple tables. We tried the pizza, pasta, and dessert (olive cake). Try at your own risk; They raised the bar high for quality Italian food, and now I compare my experiences at other Italian places to this one! I would absolutely recommend this place.
The only small issue here is you may have to wait 15+ mins sometimes even with a reservation AFTER everyone has arrived, but there's a reason why Felix Trattoria is so busy! The food, the service, and the ambiance (especially in the patio seating eara) are all fantastic! They do make you order everything all at once and bring it out one item / course at a time, so please keep that in mind and be ready before ordering. Also, the parking (street parking only) isn't the best, especially at peak times. Here is everything I tried: 5/5 - Sfincione: focaccia siciliana bread with origano selvatico, sea salt, and olive oil. Super fluffy, so delicious, can easily be shared by 2 to 4 people. 4.5/5 - Burrata E Pesche: Regier family farm peaches, burrata campana, and basil. If you're a fan of Burrata or peaches, you're going to love this dish. Light, elegant, simple, and delicious. 4/5 - Eggplant Parm Appetizer (forgot the actual name): strips of eggplant with parmesan cheese and a delicious red sauce. 4/5 - Margherita pizza: mozzarella di bufala, pomodoro, basil, and olive oil. It's a classic for a reason, you can't go wrong here, but nothing extraordinary either. 3.75/5 - Trofie: pesto genovese & parmigiano reggiano. A little earthy and the pesto didn't really stand out as much as I had hoped, you can probably skip this pasta as the others are much better. 4.5/5 - Tonnarelli Cacio E Pepe: black pepper & pecorino romano DOP. Simple, great al dente texture, and it's delicious! 5/5 - Rigatoni All'Amatriciana: guanciale, pomodoro, and pecorino romano DOP. Definitely their best pasta, full of flavor, and a good serving size too. Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Value: 4.5/5 Overall: 4.5/5
We had an amazing dinner here for my boyfriends birthday and it was our first time. The host was very welcoming and our waiter was very helpful with his recommendations. We sat outside in the patio which is pretty spacious and it was so full on a Wednesday night! I ordered the Busiate which is a pesto pasta. The actual pasta was to die for! I enjoyed it so much. He ordered the Orechiette which has this very unique flavor that just worked. We got the Sfincione bread which is focaccia bread but with parsley seasoning not fresh parsley. That may be the main difference but nevertheless it was delicious. We ordered that along with the Fiori de Zucca which is squash blossoms. That was yummy with ricotta stuffing. Finally we ordered the Prosciutto pizza which was recommend to us by our waiter. We really liked it but I really wanted to try the Diavola pizza as it seems to be the most popular pizza and it looks so good so def next time! We got some wine I got the Zinfandel rose which was nice and refreshing. Overall, had a great dinner and ended with a slice of cake for his birthday. Looking forward to coming back for more.
Amazing appetizers and drinks! The pasta was a bit salty for my taste but was still pretty good. Great environment and great music. The steak as the main dish was very underwhelming and was cooked rare (when I asked for medium rare). The server was very accommodating and brought back the steak to be cooked again. I'd definitely come back again more for drinks and appetizers. Highly recommend the king prawns, focaccia, and fried zucchini flowers! They're all super delicious!!!
Had my father's retirement party here last night. I can't say enough great things about the staff and food. Talked to someone personally that helped with the reservation since we had my toddler and baby they made sure to give us an extra seat. Matt our waiter helped my wife personally pick out what she could have on the menu (she is on a strict diet for breast feeding right now). The food was obviously amazing and the outdoor patio was a fantastic setting to celebrate.
Great dining experience!!! I love this restaurant. I only had the opportunity to eat once here and I'm looking forward to my second one. The ambiance was amazing, very cozy. Service was top notch.
Great Italian joint. Food is fresh and flavourful. Unfortunately there is quite a bit of pork on the menu so I couldn't sample everything but that which I did eat tasted great. Definitely start with the bread and flower blossoms. Service and ambiance is on point and attentive.
YES. Go once. Make the trip. Well worth it. Michelin grade place and plates. Pastas with the best textures made right there in the pasta lab in front of your eyes. They have a ribeye CAP Cut of steak which was unbelievable bc we have honestly never seen this unique cut offered first of all. Ordered 3 pastas , the forcoccia , prawns , and the steak ribeye cap. Before we came walked the street . Perfect day! Definitely make reservations!!!!! Small space. Perfect service and food worth traveling in for.
Wow! What a fun restaurant! The waitress suggested eating family style and I cannot disagree. She recommended 5-9 dishes for 4 people we found it very helpful! The dishes were fresh, highly recommend the stuffed zucchini blossoms (they were so good I couldn't even take a picture before we devoured them). We will be back! The only reason it is missing a star is because we ordered the steak medium, it was served rare. When we asked for it to be recooked they threw the pre-sliced steak back on the grill and brought it back. This unfortunately made the steak chewy. The waitress was very accommodating when she noticed we did not eat it.
I took my aunt and uncle to Felix last night. They're quite selective about their food, but they really enjoyed everything we ordered. One standout dish (I don't have a photo), was the Trofie Pesto. The noodles were perfectly al dente, the vibrant green color was striking, and the fresh pesto aroma was delightful.
